A state lawmaker from San Francisco has introduced legislation to decriminalize marijuana and regulate it like alcohol.

It has been endorsed by a retired Orange County judge who used to be a federal prosecutor.

Jim Gray is a Vietnam combat veteran who spent 25 years on Orange County’s ‘bench’. He’s riled a lot of anti-drug crusaders with his critiques of America’s war on narcotics.

In his view, it’s ‘high time’ — so to speak — for another approach to marijuana.

If you want to run a normal house in town off of solar, you’re in for a investment of tens of thousands of dollars, thanks to a house that’s almost certainly full of power-wasting, inefficient lights and appliances.

A Malaysian woman gathering fruit in a tree was shot by her neighbor after he thought she was a monkey.
A little monkey business going on, maybe?

State police said the volunteer Security Corps member came home and saw rustling in one of his trees and fired at what he thought was a monkey.

It was only after the woman started screaming that he realized it was his neighbor gathering fruit from the tree.

A malicious software program known as Conficker that many feared would wreak havoc on April 1 is slowly being activated, weeks after being dismissed as a false alarm, security experts said.

Conficker, also known as Downadup or Kido, is quietly turning thousands of personal computers into servers of e-mail spam and installing spyware.

A 5-year-old student at Apple Valley Elementary in Yakima, Washington headed home on the bus with more than books in his backpack. Inside was a smelly package his father never imagined he’d be toting around.

His parents found found a clear plastic bag with a piece of fecal matter wrapped up in a brown paper towel with the note on it.
