The snowstorm hitting areas from Chicago to Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh this evening is taking aim as an all-out blizzard from Washington, D.C., to Philadelphia, New York City and Boston.
Conditions will deteriorate from southwest to northeast along the I-95 corridor tonight into Wednesday with wind-blown snow, low visibility, massive drifts and travel shut-downs.
This storm will push seasonal snowfall to record levels in part of the mid-Atlantic. In the days following the storm, some roofs may succumb to the weight of the existing snow cover.
