Drought Worsens Across the U.S.

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report is out: 42% of the contiguous U.S. is now in a ‘severe’ drought or worse–up from 37% last week.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) reports for the week ending July 15 that 38% of the nation’s corn crop was in poor to very poor condition.
