Despite the financial downturn affecting property prices and construction projects around the world, bullish American billionaire Donald Trump remains committed to building what he has dubbed the “world’s greatest golf course” in Scotland after unveiling designs for the new complex.
Trump’s proposal includes 950 holiday homes, a hotel, an equestrian center, tennis courts and a residential village, on top of the championship golf course.
With latest official statistics showing unemployment in Scotland has risen to 7.6 percent, the move has been welcomed by the country’s government who are anxious to bring investment to the area.

Forbes magazine released its annual list of the world’s richest people Wednesday, and for only the second time since 1995, Microsoft founder Bill Gates’ name was not at the top.
This year, the title of “World’s Richest” went to Mexican telecom mogul Carlos Slim Helu, with a net worth of $53.5 billion. It marked the first time since 1994 that the top spot has been held by a non-U.S. billionaire, Forbes said.
Gates is the world’s second richest person, with a net worth of $53 billion. Warren Buffett came in at No. 3 this year, with a net worth of $47 billion.
More than a month after O’Brien left “The Tonight Show” in a bitter breakup with NBC and three weeks after Leno signed off from the network’s ill-fated “The Jay Leno Show” at 10 p.m., Leno slips back into his old seat as “The Tonight Show” host.
The question is: Will viewers, who crowned him the king of late-night TV for 15 years in that coveted role, rejoin him?
In what is expected to be largely the same tried and tested formula of celebrity chat, monologue, odd headlines and musical interludes, Leno’s opening week is packed with a stellar line-up including Winter Olympics champions Lindsey Vonn and Shaun White, flamboyant “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert, footballer Brett Favre and politician Sarah Palin.
Perhaps more important, or symbolic, is that he is bringing back the office desk he ditched for more casual arm chairs in a much-talked about change of style on “The Jay Leno Show”.

I like Tim Tebow because in a day of pretenders, deceivers, and manipulators I think Tim Tebow is a wonderful witness for the cause of Christ.
He’s a Christian who happens to be a great football player rather than a football player who just happens to be a Christian.
I looked into the story about Tim’s special guest at the ESPNU College Football Awards ceremony in Orlando in 2009.
It seems that there’s a young lady named Kelly Faughnan who was diagnosed with a brain tumor right before Thanksgiving last year. Her wish was to go to the ESPNU College Football Awards ceremony in Orlando in 2009 and meet Tim Tebow.
Not only did she meet him, but when he heard her story Tim asked her if she would like to be his date to the awards ceremony on Thursday night.
Marie Osmond’s teenaged son, Michael Blosil, has killed himself by leaping to his death around 9 p.m. Friday in Los Angeles, reports Entertainment Tonight, which quotes Marie’s brother, Donny Osmond, as saying, “Please pray for my sister and her family.”
Through her rep, Marie Osmond release a statement Saturday. It says, “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
According to ET, Michael left a note explaining he intended to end his life after a lengthy battle with severe depression that left him, he said, feeling as if he had no friends and could never fit in.
