On October 14, Lord Christopher Monckton gave a presentation in St. Paul, MN on the subject of global warming. In this 4-minute excerpt from his speech, he issues a dire warning to all Americans regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty that is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.

A draft of the treaty can be read below:

Chuck Norris has an article in WorldNetDaily with a good analysis of the treaty:

What crime has the United States committed to initiate the UN to investigate us?

They UN may have already made up their minds that we are not providing enough affordable housing in urban areas. It’s no secret that our country has been going through the worst financial crisis it has ever faced.

At the heart of this crisis is the housing market, which has imploded in on itself. Many people have lost their homes because of this crisis and admittedly, that is not a good thing.

I fail to understand however, why the United Nations believes there is a basis for an investigation. Raquel Rolnik, an independent human rights expert for the United Nations, had this to say about the mortgage crisis last week.

The mortgage crisis that is at the heart of the current financial turmoil reflects “fundamental” flaws in the way countries approach housing, and highlights the danger in thinking that markets alone will ensure adequate housing for all.

Raquel Rolnik is the Special Rapporteur on adequate housing and she reports directly to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. You would think she would have enough on her hands with countries like Iran, Burma, and Darfur, but evidently our own government has different ideas. They were the ones who invited her to visit and check us out.

Global Police Seek More Power

During a conference in Singapore last week, delegates to the Interpol-United Nations meeting agreed: the budding global police force needs more power.

According to reports, the international group is aiming to step up its efforts to battle crime worldwide, claiming the need for its own special passports, shared global DNA and biometric information databases, cooperation with the UN’s military arm and much more.

“It is the first step toward creating what Interpol calls a ‘global policing doctrine,’” reported the New York Times in an article entitled “Interpol and U.N. Back ‘Global Policing Doctrine.’’’

UN Calls for New Reserve Currency

The United Nations called on Tuesday for a new global reserve currency to end the dollar’s supremacy which has allowed the United States the “privilege” of building a huge trade deficit.

“Important progress in managing imbalances can be made by reducing the reserve currency country’s ‘privilege’ to run external deficits in order to provide international liquidity,” UN undersecretary-general for economic and social affairs, Sha Zukang, said.

Nuclear Disarming the U.S. is CRAZY

On Thursday the U.N. Security Council called for worldwide nuclear disarmament. It is extremely naive to believe worldwide nuclear disarmament is achievable.

China has already said they will not disarm. China has said they will keep a stockpile large enough to serve as a nuclear deterrent. It is implausible countries such as North Korea, Iran, Russia, and Pakistan would actually disarm.

While the goal of removing nuclear weapons from the world is admirable, it is also illogical. Nuclear weapons will always exist. If Obama proceeds to disarm America, then he will be painting a massive target on our backs. Our enemies would no longer have to fear nuclear retaliation, thus the probability of a nuclear detonation on US soil would increase tenfold. This is by far the most dangerous policy proposed by President Obama.

Disarming the United States would result in the deaths of thousands of Americans.
